New Richmond - Mrs. C. Alice Fifer, 57 who lived on Rt. 1, died at 12:20 a.m. Friday in St. Elizabeth Hospital. She had been ill a year. Mrs. Fifer was born in Lafayette and lived there until 10 years ago when the family moved to the New  Richmond community. She was married July 4, 1934 to Ralph D. Fifer. She was formerly employed as bookkeeper at Lafayette and at one time taught in the business college there. The survivors include the husband, a son, Jack N. Fifer of New Richmond; two daughters, June and Mary, both at home; two brothers, John J. May of Muncie and Edward M. May of Lafayette; a sister, Mrs. Anna Sidham of Lafayette and one grandchild. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Cathedral with Rt Rev Msgr Frederick Potthoff in charge. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lafayette. Friends may call at the Murphy-Hahn Funeral Homea fter 1 p.m. Sunday. Rosary services will be at 8 p.m. Sunday. - kbz
